Tongwynlais Temperance has announced that they will be joining forces with Richard Evans at the forthcoming Welsh Open contest in Porthcawl.

"When Steve Sykes joined us last year as professional conductor we always knew that there was a clash of schedules for the Welsh Open contest," said spokesperson Jason Bevan.
As a result, and with it being the curtain raiser to the Welsh contest season, the band was delighted that the undisputed ‘King of Entertainment’ accepted the offer to lead the band on what will their first contest since claiming a historic fourth place finish at the National Finals last October.

Richard is no stranger to the Welsh Open, having lead Tredegar to the title in 2000 and 2004. The contest takes place at the Porthcawl Pavilion on Saturday 16th February.
