Glyn also arranged recently for his friends from Foden’s to spend a day working with the talented members of the band in sectionals and full band rehearsals in preparation for a CD recording which is due to take place this coming weekend.

Richard Poole, Helen Williams, Lesley Poole, John Barber, Stewart Baglin, Eve Knowles and Glyn put the players through their paces on Andy Scott’s ‘Roar’, which has been specially written for the band and Peter Graham’s ‘Victory’.

The young players also worked on accompaniments to solos that will be recorded with Glyn and John Barber as their special guests.

Paul Riggett of Sterling Musical Instruments also popped into rehearsal to meet the players and to work with the band’s cornet players who have chosen Sterling Virtuoso models4BR

Paul Riggett of Sterling Musical Instruments also popped into rehearsal to meet the players and to work with the band’s cornet players who have chosen Sterling Virtuoso models, which will be now be delivered to them in the near future.

It had been a very busy weekend for all those involved, with Lions Youth Band performing a well received concert in Alderley Edge on Saturday evening whilst the Foden’s players had been performing at the RNCM Festival of Brass.
