Thoresby Colliery Band has said a fond farewell to bass trombone player Bob Craddock after 13 years of outstanding service and dedication to the band.

Bob made his final appearance as Thoresby claimed their best ever result at the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in Skegness – a fine 5th place on which to say goodbye.
New life
A change of job sees Bob and wife Sandie start a new life in Ipswich.
A spokesperson told 4BR: "Bob has not only been a valuable player but also fulfilled the role of treasurer for many years.
We will miss him terribly and would like to thank him publicly for all his hard work and dedication over the years and wish him and Sandie well for the future."
