Cory open Festival doors

Cory will be holding an open rehearsal ahead of its appearance at the RNCM Festival of Brass — and its free!

Ahead of its appearance at the Royal Northern College of Music Festival of Brass, Welsh & Brass in Concert champions Cory will be holding an open rehearsal under MD Philip Harper at its bandroom on Friday 25th January starting at 7.30pm.

Heavyweight

The band's programme at the RNCM will feature many heavyweight works of the brass band repertoire, including ‘Pageantry’ by Herbert Howells and ‘King's Messenger’ by George Lloyd.

Composers introduce

The rehearsal will provide a chance to hear from composers John Pickard, who will introduce his defining 2005 work ‘Eden’, and David Harrington, whose new ‘Tenor Horn Concerto’ will be premiered at the Festival by Owen Farr.

Free

The rehearsal will be free, although space is limited and seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The bandroom will be open from 7.00pm.
