The musical roadworks continue to grow for the City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Band.

The ever growing City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) organisation has announced a further extension to its musical road building programme, with the formation of a new Beginners Group.

Beginners Group

The new beginners group – Melingriffith 4, will be aimed at primary school children (9+ years old) who are keen to start playing. It will be starting in January, every Sunday from 6 — 7pm, led by two of the talented M1 players Gareth Jones and Fran Wilson.

Website

It has also announced the launch of their brand new website too. Designed by Richard Dwyer, the dynamic site has links to audio, Twitter, and Facebook.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Our Youth Band (M3) is now 22 strong, and there is an obvious need for an additional group to cater for those wishing to start playing. The biggest problem the band has is the lack of instruments to meet the demand, so if anyone has an instrument they would like to donate, or lend on a long term basis, we would be very grateful!"
