The draw has been made for the UniBrass contest, which will take place at Lancaster University Great Hall on Saturday 16th February next year.
Reigning champions
Reigning champions Brass United from the Royal Northern College of Music will defend their honour in the new Elite Section against Marylebone Brass in what promises to be a high class climax to the day.
Oxbridge start and finish
Before that though, 14 bands will battle it out for the Championship title in a contest that is bookended by ensembles from the two oldest rivals in the business – the dark blues of Oxford and light blues of Cambridge.
Last year’s runner-up University of Huddersfield and third placed local favourites Lancaster University return once more against a field of keen student rivals.
