This Saturday sees the second full banding day for the Grimethorpe Colliery Besson Youth Band.
Tutors
4BR has been told that course tutors Sandy Smith, Jamie Cooper, Daniel Robson, Andrew Holmes, Garrath Beckwith, Andrew Lockett, Michael Dodd and Shaun Crowther are all relishing the thought of working with what is expected to be well over 100 young players.
Extra support
Nigel Dixon, Grimethorpe Band Manager told 4BR: "All the plans are in place to make this second get together as big a success as the first. It’s already looking like we could be seeing over 30 new members, and we are grateful of the extra support we are gaining from Band Supplies who will be attending the event."
He added: "The format will be the same but we are now working towards our aim of the youth band hosting their very own concert."
