The Durham County Brass Band Association has come out in support of the current registration system used by the British Brass Band Registry.

18 bands

The meeting held at County Hall in Durham attracted a number of eligible voting members, including 18 of its 23 member bands from Championship to Fourth Section.

The Association is one of three (Northumbria BBA and Yorkshire & Humberside) that form part of the overall North of England Regional structure.

Healthy discussion

4BR was informed that the outcome following a healthy discussion of the registry issues was that at present bands from the Association are in full support of the current British Brass Band Registry system.
