Registry meeting to be held in Yorkshire

All Yorkshire bands are invited to a special registry meeting in Barnsley on 20th November.

Yorkshire Regional Championship

4BR has been informed that bands from the Yorkshire Regional Championship area are to be asked to attend a special meeting to discuss on the ongoing issues arising from Kapitol’s decision to set up the Brass Band Players Registry.

Own hands

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We are taking matters into our own hands with regards to the current proposals for registration changes from Kapitol Promotions.

Unhappy with the action that has been taken by Kapitol, without discussion and the consequential input of bands across the country, a meeting to discuss matters concerning the bands directly has therefore been set for Tuesday 20th November."

We are taking matters into our own hands with regards to the current proposals for registration changes from Kapitol PromotionsSpokesperson

Time and date

The meeting will take place at 7.30pm at the Worsbrough Sports and Social Club, The Welfare Hall
Park Road, Barnsley. S70 5LJ.

Thoughts

The spokesperson added: "The thoughts of the bands, which is being collated by bands people in the region, currently reveals a high level of unrest over the dictated changes. The meeting will give all bands the chance to voice their concerns and opinions."
