The 2013 English National Championship is set to take place at the University of Birmingham.

English National

Brass Bands England has announced that the English National Championship will be held at a brand new venue with the news that that the event has moved to Birmingham for 2013.

The contest on June 29th will take place in the 450 seat Elgar Concert Hall at the University of Birmingham.

Ideal host

Contest Controller, Arnold Tattersfield told 4BR: "Bands had commented that they would now appreciate a change of venue and made a number of suggestions. The ENBBC committee visited these but knew immediately that the Elgar Concert Hall was ideal to host the 2013 event."
