The West Midlands Divisional Fellowship Band conducted by Bandmaster Charles King recently took part in a Christmas ‘Songs of Praise’ concert at the Solihull Arts Centre before a capacity audience of 350 people.
Singer and actor
The event was compered by local impresario Martin Hone and featured local singer and raconteur Malcolm Stent and the popular local singer Maggie O’Hara, whilst well known actor Andrew Cullum also contributed a brace of Christmas soliloquies.

Press Officer David Birch told 4BR: "Despite the early nature of the event it was a great success and had sold out with little advertising.
As well as accompanying the carols the band contributed two Christmas marches with Paul Curnow’s ‘Festive Season’ and the ever popular ‘Christmas Praise’ as well as Richard Philips delightful arrangement of ‘Mid Winter’."
