A huge number of brass bands joined with their local communities on the weekend to ensure that the ultimate sacrifice made by thousands of servicemen and women was not forgotten.
Last Post
Nearly 70 years after the end of the Second World War bands took to the streets and marched to memorials to perform hymns and play the ‘Last Post’ as their part in remembering those that shall not grow old.
From the Highlands of Scotland to the smallest fishing villages of Cornwall, West Wales to East Anglia, bands both large and small played their part.
Honour
As a spokesperson for Test Valley Brass, who played their part with the communities of Andover and Overton this weekend told 4BR: "Test Valley Brass is honoured to be able to take part in the acts of remembrance for those that will not return home."
