The organisers of Brass in Concert have revealed details of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain’s performance at this year’s World of Brass in Concert at The Sage Gateshead.

Tovey lead

The event, which will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the organisation, will see the band conducted by Bramwell Tovey, perform a number of iconic works, including ‘Chorale and Variations’ by Leighton Lucas, ‘Elegy and Minuet’ from ‘A Downland Suite’ by John Ireland, the ‘Finale’ from ‘Checkmate’ by Sir Arthur Bliss and ‘Blitz’ by Derek Bourgeois.

Other lighters works such as ‘Bugler’s Holiday’ will also be included in a programme aimed to cater for all tastes.

Welcome
