Soundhouse Brass, Plymouth has announced the appointment of David Shead as their new Musical Director.
Wealth of experience
A spokesperson told 4BR: "David brings a wealth of experience to the band together with an enthusiasm and desire to take the group forward in 2013."
David studied trumpet at the Royal College of Music under John Wallace and went on to spend many years as a freelance trumpet player with orchestras and West End Shows.

Demand
His conducting career started with Sherborne in the 1980's before going on to take many other bands either as MD or as guest conductor. Despite still being in demand for his playing skills David has recently returned to live in the West Country.
Recently he has been working with Soundhouse Junior Band who he will lead at the forthcoming Torquay contest on the 3rd November.
