The Cowes Concert Band has welcomed two new recruits to its ranks.

Returnees

Jodi Smith has joined the Isle of Wight band on cornet, whilst Geoff Turner comes in on euphonium. Both are returning to banding after a break of several years.

Musical Director Andy Norman told 4BR: "Both Jodi and Geoff were active in youth bands for many years and we are delighted to see them back playing again. They are proving excellent additions to the band."

Meanwhile, the band has just launched its own newsletter – the ‘Cowes Bugle’, aimed at raising the band’s profile, particularly with friends and supporters who do not have access to its website and Facebook page.
