Fresh from their success at the Bolsover Festival of Brass Contest on the weekend, the Blidworth Welfare Band has announced the arrival of a number of new players – all of whom helped to secure their First Section success under the baton of Martin Heartfield.

New and returns

Former cornet player Phil White returned to the front row bench, whilst Sandra Kowalenko was also welcomed back on horn after an enjoyable seven year spell at Newstead Band.

Sam Turner has come in to fill the second baritone spot, whilst Andy Kettle has joined from Foss Dyke on Eb bass.
