The Førre Musikk Korps Band will certainly be making new musical friends in the North West on their forthcoming tour to the UK, with the news that in addition to meeting up with the Smithills Schools Band they will also be the welcome guests of the Wardle High School Band too.
Hosting
Wardle will be hosting their ‘En Musikalsk Aften Med’, which translates to ‘A Musical Evening With’, when the young performers who hail from just outside the Norwegian town of Haugesund come to visit them this coming Thursday.
Roar Sørensen, leader of Førre Musikk Korps expressed his enthusiasm towards the evening by telling 4BR: "We are really looking forward to this."

Excited
Janet Emsley, Director of Performing Arts, who has been liaising with the band, added: "We are very excited about hosting Førre Musikk Korps Youth Band. We will be welcoming them in the afternoon, rehearsing and enjoying tea with the young people before performing a joint concert in the evening.
We have welcomed musical groups from many different countries in the past — Romania, Japan and Australia to name but a few. Our young people always enjoy and benefit from the experience of music from different cultures."
