The talented young players of the Deiniolen Youth Band recently enjoyed a masterclass day from St Helens Youth Conductor Anna Hughes–Williams as part of their preparation for the annual North Wales Brass Band Championships to be held in Llandudno next month.

The day started early with many tutors from the band’s senior ensemble there to support the youngsters.

Great welcome

Deiniolen Youth Band MD, Osian Tomos told 4BR: "It was great to welcome Anna and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This masterclass was part of our preparation for the North Wales Championships which we won last year, and we are looking forward to compete again."
