Grimethorpe stars to lead Brass & Perc workshop

The star players of Grimethorpe Colliery Band are to lead the Yorkshire & Humberside Brass & Percussion workshop day.

A grant from Arts Council England Lottery funding has ensured that the Yorkshire & Humberside Brass Band Association will be able to hold their annual Brass & Percussion Workshop on Saturday, 10th November at Minsthorpe Community College, South Elmsall, near Pontefract.

Grimethorpe tutors

The course will be lead by Sandy Smith, MD of Grimethorpe Colliery Band with star tutors from the band.

Peggy Tomlinson told 4BR: "This course is very popular and all levels are assured of a warm welcome with good food, great tutors and a fine day of music making with friends. The day commences with registration at 9.00am includes sectional and full band practices and closes around 4.00pm."
