Youth players set to help Heroes

The Help for Heroes charity will benefit from plenty of youthful musical endeavour on the weekend under the expert drill of Major Richard Evans.

Brass for Heroes

4BR has been informed that final preparations are now under way for the ‘Brass For Heroes’ all-star Youth Brass Band Concert at the RNCM this weekend.

Military background

The band, which will be led by Richard Evans, who comes from a service family himself will be joined by guest soloist Les Neish (a bit too young for National Service) and host of young players from the likes of Black Dyke, Fodens, Faireys and Hammonds Saltaire, as well as the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

Funds

The event is designed to raise funds for the excellent ‘Help for Heroes’ charity and will feature a wide variety of music – from ‘La Corsair’ to ‘Visions of Kolkhis’, ‘All Night Long’ to ‘The Incredibles’ and much, much more.
