4BR Quiz: National Finals winner

We had a fantastic response to our special National Finals quiz, with one lucky winner getting their hands on an equally special Mirage cornet worth over £400.

Thanks to our friends at Dawsons Musical Instruments, Nick Bailey from Colchester in Essex will be getting his hands on the great new student cornet, after he correctly answered that there were 10 different types of Mirage instruments on the Dawsons website.

Looking forward

Nick, a cornet player with Thundersley Brass is certainly looking forward to receiving his prize too.

"We have a number of young players we are encouraging to develop and this is an ideal instrument for them to be playing on.

I saw the cornet on display at the Dawsons trade stand at the National Finals and was very impressed by it – although I didn’t think I would be winning it a couple of days later!"

One off

The special edition medium bore Mirage cornet is a ‘one-off’ – enhanced by the addition of 1st & 3rd slide triggers. It comes in a superb lacquer finish, complete with case, mouthpiece and a special bag of 4BR goodies too.

Great use

Nick added: "I really enjoy entering the quiz on 4BR – but hadn’t had any luck until now. It’s a great addition to our instrument stock at Thundersley and we are sure it will be put to great use by one lucky player."

We have been delighted by the response the Mirage range has already created and are very happy that this ‘one-off’ special instrument will be used by an up and coming young playerGary Bond, Dawsons Musical Instruments.

Delighted

Gary Bond of Dawsons told 4BR: "We have been delighted by the response the Mirage range has already created and are very happy that this ‘one-off’ special instrument will be used by an up and coming young player."
