Following their recent success at the Wychavon Entertainment contest playing a complete programme of his music, Derwent Brass has announced that Paul McGhee has become their new Contemporary Music Associate.
Exciting prospect
The winner of the 2012 EBBA European Composers Competition in Rotterdam is certainly looking forward to the prospect of working more closely with the Midland based band.
He told 4BR: "I'm really excited about taking on this role with Derwent Brass. Having worked with them over the last year on my commissioned work, 'Episodes, Occurrences & Interludes', I’ve been impressed by their commitment to the project, as well as their enthusiasm towards new music."

He added: "Over the next few years I’m looking forward to help them introduce fresh and progressive music into their repertoire and to work with various composers and MD Keith Leonard on projects which will hopefully excite current audiences and branch out to new listeners."
