Cornwall ready for cream of music making

A day of top class brass band music making is promised at the Cornish Championships later this month.

There will be plenty of top class brass band music making to enjoy at the forthcoming 57th Cornish Championships to be held at the superb Hall for Cornwall in Truro on Saturday 29th September.

Cornish Champions

The day will commence at 10.00am with 14 bands battling it out for the proud title of Cornish Champions, whilst later, the all girl Wonderbrass and Black Dyke can he heard in concert.

The championships will see bands compete from ungraded and youth bands up to Championship level, all trying to catch the ear of respected adjudicator, Derek Greenwood, who will be leading the girls in their short performance before the announcement of the results.

Raising funds

The band has already raised money for the Merlin Centre Charity and hope that in the near future other charities will benefit from their concert appearances.
