Workshop conclusion in South West

Two exciting instrumental workshops round off the banding year in the South West led by David Thornton and Sheona White.

The South West Brass Band Association’s busy year will be brought to a conclusion with two exciting instrumental workshops, both to be held at the Okehampton Conservative Club, Mill Road, Okehampton, West Devon later this year.

Lower brass

A lower brass workshop led by euphonium star David Thornton, will take place on Saturday 24th November, aimed at developing the skill sets of Euphonium, Baritone and Bass players.

The Workshop is being supported by John Packer Limited.

Horns

A week later on Saturday 1st December, the Association welcomes Sheona White to lead a Tenor Horn & Flugel Horn workshop, sponsored by Yamaha Music Europe.

The fee for both Workshops is £25 per person, with a reduced £15 for 18 years and under, this including a light buffet lunch and tea/coffee throughout both days.

April 15 • We are a welcoming 4th section band with a vacancy for a kit player. Our calendar is filling up with various contests and engagements to fulfil through the year.
