Gosport Solent Brass has announced the appointment of their new Musical Director, Steve Dunster.
Award winning
The award winning euphonium soloist has performed in numerous concerts and contests around the UK, and brings a vast array of skills and experience to the band, having learnt his trade under the likes of Walter Hargreaves and Stanley Boddington.
He later went on to become a highly successful conductor with the likes of Woodfalls Concert Brass.
Happy
Steve told 4BR: "When I was a schoolboy learning to play euphonium, the first band I played for outside school was Gosport Silver Band and my first concert was in the Thorngate Hall. Later I spent many happy and successful years with Solent Concert Band as a player and a mentor."

He added: "It's great to be the Musical Director of the amalgamation of these two great local bands which were such a big part of my musical history.
