Midlands prepare for Cheltenham preview

Four representatives from the Midlands will be showcasing their Cheltenham preparations next month — for free!

Four of the Midlands Area National Finalists will be getting together next month to offer listeners an opportunity to hear just how their preparations are going for the Cheltenham event.

All four set works can be heard at Long Eaton Silver Prize Band Social Club in Long Eaton in Nottinghamshire on Sunday 9th September.

Foresters Brass (First Section), Shirebrook Miners Welfare Unison (Second Section), Long Eaton Silver (Third Section) and Ireland Colliery Chesterfield (Fourth) will give previews in addition to some other pieces to enjoy.

John Roberts will provide each band with detailed adjudication advice whilst the conductors of each band will give their own opinions on the performances too4BR

The evening has been organized by all four bands it will kick off at 4.00pm. Entry is free of charge.
