The Bolsover Festival of Brass contest, organised and financed by Bolsover District Council, is now calling for final entries for the event which will be staged on Sunday 7th October at Heritage High School, Clowne in Derbyshire.
Closing date
The closing date for entries is 1st September, so bands are requested to get in touch as soon as possible for what is fast becoming one of the most popular competitions of the second half of the contesting year.

Entertainment contest
Bolsover Festival of Brass will again be organising a charity entertainment contest, which this year will feature reigning champions, The Ransome Band, up against Desford Colliery Caterpillar Re-union Band, Desford Colliery Youth Re-union Band, City of Coventry Re-union Band and Masson Mills Band.
The friendly rivalry between the competitors makes for a great day’s entertainment as a musical aperitif on Saturday 6th October at Shirebrook Leisure Centre commencing at 3.30pm.
Re-union dinner
The contest will be followed by an evening re-union and charity dinner to raise money for the James Watson Memorial Trust.

Tickets for the Charity Entertainment Contest and Re-union Dinner are available by sending a cheque made payable to Bolsover District Council for the required amount with a stamped addressed envelope and details of your ticket requirements:
