The 13th Exmouth Brass Band Festival, which is being promoted and organised by the South West Brass Band Association has attracted member bands from Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire and Somerset for its contest on 1st September.

Entertainment

Over 500 players will make the trip to the Exmouth Pavilion to battle it out for the ‘Exmouth Town Council Challenge Trophy’, by presenting a 25-minute programme of own-choice music to the adjudicator, John Winterflood and an enthusiastic audience.

The competing bands will also entertain the general public with 30-minute concerts in the adjacent Pavilion Gardens.

Enjoy

SWBBA Chairman Brian Elliott told 4BR: "This is a day to be enjoyed by all and an opportunity for our bands to demonstrate the best in brass banding in the South West."

The day’s events commence at 10.30am, concluding with the results and presentation ceremony at around 6.30pm when the Mayor of Exmouth, Councillor John Humphreys, assisted by Bruce Taylor, Marketing & PR Manager, Countrywide South West Estate Agents, will present the trophies.

This is a day to be enjoyed by all and an opportunity for our bands to demonstrate the best in brass banding in the South WestSWBBA Secretary, Brian Elliott
