John Doyle gets ready to push himself to the limit in aid of Leyland's European trip.

Look out for a sweaty figure battling with his breathing in Fleetwood later this month.

High hopes

4BR has been informed that Leyland’s popular soprano player John Doyle (seen above with horn star Sheona White) is in intensive training for the Fleetwood half marathon on Sunday 26th August – with high hopes of actually finishing the race in time for the band’s appearance at the British Open in Birmingham just four days later.

John is putting himself through the pain barrier in order to kick start Leyland’s fundraising campaign as they look towards the European Championships in Oslo in 2013.

And John has been taking things so seriously for the 13 mile challenge that awaits in Fylde that he has been getting in some hot weather training on the Greek island of Rhodes (or it could be that he is having a great time on holidays)
