International Brass Band Summer School Course Directors, Dr Nicholas & Robert Childs have told 4BR that such has been the success of the latest week long event recently held at Swansea University that it has been decided to add to the existing musical attractions for next year.

Amazing

The Black Dyke duo told 4BR: “The response we have received already from people wishing to come back in 2013 has been amazing. The university offers an ideal base for what we believe is the biggest and the best Summer School Course – something shown by its ability to attract delegates from all over the banding world.”

New initiatives

They added: "We have some exciting new initiatives planned for next year, including the IBBSS Brass in Concert Entertainments contest, a new soloist course led by David Childs and an intensive conducting development workshop, which will be led by us both.

Other exciting additions are already being planned, so it comes as no surprise that so many people have already confirmed their participation on next year’s course."
