IBBS attracts worldwide students

The International Brass Band Summer School continues to attract players from all over the banding world to Swansea.

The International Brass Band Summer School is holding its 22nd annual course this week at the Singleton Campus of Swansea University.

The week long residential course is run under the leadership of Dr Robert and Dr Nicholas Childs and attracts players from all over the world, including this year, delegates from Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Austria, Luxembourg, Denmark and America.

Over 100 delegates will enjoy intensive rehearsals and tuition as well as time off to enjoy what the West Wales city and its wonderful surroundings has to offer.

Dr Nicholas Childs told 4BR: "With top class tuition from the likes of David Childs, Richard Marshall and Brett Baker amongst others, great music to rehearse, plenty of fun and games and a Gala Concert at Swansea’s University Fulton House, this Friday at 7.00pm, there is plenty for everyone to look forward to!"
