Foggy outlook for National Children's Band

National Children's Band to premiere Peter Graham work inspired by Jules Verne's classic novel

Peter Graham

The National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain (NCBBGB) is to perform the world premiere of a new work by composer Peter Graham at its forthcoming concert in Derby on 28th July, inspired by one of the most famous novels of Frenchman Jules Verne.

Fogg

‘The Journal of Phileas Fogg’, has been commissioned by Dr Nicholas Childs, inspired by the fantastical 1873 story of the adventurer and his erstwhile, ingenious valet, Passepartout, who circumnavigate the globe in 80 days to win a £20,000 wager from rivals members of the Reform Club in London.

The band will be conducted by Dr Robert Childs, with guest soloist, Paul Duffy, star soprano cornet player with European champions, Black Dyke.
