Cory set for Welsh elite

British Open champion to join forces with the great Bryn Terfel for a celebration of all things Welsh.

Cory in action

British Open champions Cory, will travel to London next weekend to perform alongside Welsh operatic superstar Bryn Terfel and the Wales Choir of the World at the Royal Festival Hall.

Brynfest

The event is part of Brynfest, a four day festival of music making featuring a number of Wales’ elite musical performers, and which will feature the world premiere of ‘The Hero’s Journey’ composed by Karl Jenkins and commissioned by the famous London Welsh Male Voice Choir.

Cory will join with Bryn Terfel and combined choirs under the baton of conductor and composer Paul Bateman and musical director for the Welsh Rugby Union, Haydn James. Cory will also perform a selection of movements from the Jenkins’ ‘Stabat Mater’.

Big Sing

After the main performance Cory will join the other performers on the riverside terrace for ‘Bryn’s Big Sing’, a short open air concert full of Welsh songs and music.

We are delighted to be featured in this wonderful festival filled with great Welsh tradition, music and passionCory Band Manager, Austin Davies.

Delighted

Band Manager Austin Davies told 4BR: "We are delighted to be featured in this wonderful festival filled with great Welsh tradition, music and passion.

It is also a great privilege for us to perform once again a world premiere of a Karl Jenkins work and even more special that he will make the journey to London to hear it performed for the first time."
