Black Dyke has announced that despite retaining the English National title in Preston on the weekend, and being restored to the number 1 spot in the World of Brass/4BR rankings, they are now on the lookout for new sponsorship partners following the news that their agreement with Leeds Metropolitan University finishes at the end of the year.
Outstanding
Band Chairman, David Allen, told 4BR: "Both band performances in winning the title were outstanding. Our long term partnership agreement with Leeds Metropolitan University comes to an end later this year, and I am confident that this continued success will make us even more attractive to new partners."
Portfolio
The band will look for new backing with a 2012 portfolio that includes victories at the Yorkshire Area, the European Championship, Whit Friday and now the English National – with the British Open and the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall to come.

Tremendous
Director of Music, Dr Nicholas Childs added: "I was delighted at the latest victory and in the manner in which it was achieved by a young band. Richard Marshall once again took the ‘Best Instrumentalist’ Award, but it was a tremendous team effort over two exceptional performances that secured the title.
He was truly outstanding, but there were many other excellent contributions from around the whole band. Our next goal will be to raise the money required to represent England at the European Championships."
