The City of Chester Training Band recently braved the cold and wet weather conditions to play outside the Delamere Forest Cafe on the weekend of the Golden Jubilee.
Red Oak
Forestry Commission staff at Delamere had invited the band to perform at a ceremony to mark the planting of a Red Oak tree to commemorate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
Unknown to the band though, the Forestry Commission staff had selected a second Red Oak for planting, dedicated to the City of Chester Training Band.
A spokesperson told 4BR: "Band members were proud to have a tree dedicated to them."
