The organisers of the forthcoming English National Championship are starting to put the finishing touches to the event which takes place on 23rd June at Preston Guild Hall.
Top class
The BFBB organising committee recently came away from a recent meeting at the venue pleased with the level of help and expertise being offered for what promises to be an exciting day of top class contest entertainment.
Format
The format will see the eight competing bands take to the stage at 10.00am to perform the set work, ‘Masquerade’ by Philip Wilby, with the own choice selections starting 1 hour after the last band has played.
With the English qualification place for the 2013 European Championships up for grabs there is plenty to play for as Black Dyke, Fodens, Fairey, Leyland, Hepworth, Reg Vardy, Pemberton Old DW Wigan and Virtuosi GUS look to impress adjudicators David Read MBE and Nigel Boddice (set work) and Chris Wormald and Stephen Roberts (own choice) to gain their place in Oslo.

Entrance admission for Adults is £15 with children at £5. The box office will open at 9.00am.
