Blidworth help with bandstand opening

Blidworth help open a brand new £180,000 bandstand in Mansfield.

Blidworth Welfare Band were delighted to perform recently during the inauguration of a new Victorian Bandstand in Carr Bank Park in Mansfield. The bandstand is centrally located within the park, acting as a focal point for visitors.

Funds

The octagonal bandstand and associated groundwork cost £183,000 and has been funded by Section 106 funds from developments nearby.

Executive Mayor of Mansfield, Tony Egginton told 4BR: "Opening the new bandstand is a true honour and I’d encourage everyone to look out for future events covering all the arts."
