Tewskesbury cash wish comes true

Tewkesbury Youth Band can make their wishes come true thanks to voucher scheme.

Over the past month the Tewkesbury Youth Band has been collecting vouchers as part of the Gloucestershire Media Wish ‘Cash for your Community’ scheme to help raise funds for the organisation.

Hard work

And as a result of all their hard work, the band raised a magnificent amount of £901.00, which saw them come 5th out of 30 groups who took part in the scheme.

The money will be used to benefit the Training Band whose players receive free tuition, a free uniform and free loan of an instrumentBand spokesperson Mark Windsor

Band spokesperson Mark Windsor told 4BR: "The money will be used to benefit the Training Band whose players receive free tuition, a free uniform and free loan of an instrument. Our youngest member is 6 years old and the oldest is in their 70s. Many thanks again to everyone for their support."
