GB theme

With the upcoming Olympics just around the corner the organisers have given the festival a Great Britain theme as Paul Max Edlin, Artistic Director told 4BR:

"Theme GB is all about British contemporary music, and will boldly embrace so many superb British composers and so many different styles."

He added: "In this year’s programme, you can hear music of great British masters alongside up and coming bright young talent. The performers are also superb too and we are delighted to welcome Grimethopre to play as part of the event."

The band's programme for the festival consists of some great works, including Harrison Birtwistle’s ‘Grimethorpe Aria’, the Horovitz ‘Euphonium Concerto’, ‘Cloudcatcher Fells’ and ‘The Planets’Gareth Crane
