Having played to a sold out concert in Bolton on the weekend and with their forthcoming event racking up record sales, Smithills School Senior Brass Band has announced that it has already passed their target of £60,000 needed for their tour to the USA in July.
Amazing support
A delighted MD Chris Wormald told 4BR: "Without an amazing parent group, our fourth USA tour could not have happened. To reach our 12 month target in only 8 months is nothing short of remarkable."
He added: "The standard of the band has never been higher, but the fundraising is beyond anything we have achieved in my 22 years at Smithills."
