Shotts St Patricks recently celebrated the presentation of a number of band awards as well as over 300 years of stalwart service.
Business support
The award were made at their annual Ceilidh where local businesses supported the band by sponsoring the 'Bandsperson of the Year' and the 'Player of the Year' trophies.
The Station Hotel 'Bandsperson Of The Year' was awarded to Tommy Nayles, whilst the Lennons Showbar 'Player Of The Year' trophy went to principal cornet Lynsey Mcilwraith.
The Mae Warner award for 'Young Player of the year' was claimed by Jordan Stevenson.
Tom Allen of the Scottish Brass Band Association also presented SBBA lifetime medals for 50 years service to no less than six members of the band — a total of over 300 years of banding service.
