Neish takes up FAB appointment

Les Neish becomes the latest addition to the Fine Arts Brass ensemble.

Les Neish has taken up the position as tuba player with the world renowned Fine Arts Brass Ensemble.

Originally formed in 1980, the renowned ensemble has gained a world wide reputation for musical excellence and has toured to over 60 countries and performed in just about every music festival in the UK.

Les told 4BR: "It's a pleasure to perform with a group that has such an illustrious history and is still going strong after 30 years! I feel very privileged to follow in a line of tuba players that includes Owen Slade, Richard Sandland and Sam Elliott.

He added: "It's a real treat to perform with players who take seats in the top orchestras in the UK and abroad."

Busy

The group has a busy few months ahead with BBC recordings and concerts throughout the UK as well as in Switzerland and Germany.

It will certainly be an exciting time and even more air miles racked up for for Les and his tuba travels.
