The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is holding a free open day during its Easter residential course at Taunton School.

The event will be held on Tuesday April 3rd at Taunton School in Somerset, during the band’s week long residential course, which will be held between 31st March and 7th April.

Day long workshop

The day-long workshop will provide youngsters with tuition from some of Britain’s leading brass and percussion players, and with the opportunity to perform with the band itself.

Tickets for the band’s 60th anniversary concert will be also given to youngsters to attend their Cadogan Hall concert in London, on April 7th.

Tutors

The tutors will include Martin Armstrong, Richard Marshall, David Childs, Chris Thomas, Nick Etheridge and Mark Landon.

Administrator Philip Biggs told 4BR: "This is a great opportunity for youngsters to get some first class coaching and to get a taste of what it means to be a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.”

The open day starts at 10.00am.
