Leyland looking renew old acquaintances

Leyland to celebrate new home coming with old friends...

Leyland

To celebrate the acquisition of rehearsal premises in their home town, the current Brass in Concert champion Leyland is to hold a reunion of former players and friends of the band.

The afternoon will feature the current band, social time, hot pot supper and a ‘mass blow’ to round the evening off.

Great spirit

Musical Director Emeritus Richard Evans told 4BR: "There has always been a great spirit in Leyland Band. We want to celebrate our ‘home coming’ with all our friends past and present.

I’m looking forward to meeting up with some old, and some not so old faces for an afternoon of fun and the odd nostalgic trip down memory lane!"

Meet with friends

He added: "Hopefully following the event we can form an ex players association maintaining this camaraderie and provide a channel to get involved and support the current band. I look forward to meeting up with as many of our friends as possible."

Further details

The reunion will be held on 18th March between 3.00pm-7.00pm at Walmer Bridge Village Hall.

Suggested donation of £10 per person, (children free), will cover room hire and hot pot supper. A licensed bar will be available.
