Enfield Citadel Band's recent concert in aid of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Soloists

The band which draws its players from as far afield as Essex, Luton, Kent, Surrey, West Berkshire and Wiltshire was due to appear with soloists Christopher Deacon (trumpeter with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia and trumpet soloist on the theme tune to Coronation Street) and vocalist Anthony Harris.

World class

Bandmaster Jonathan Corry told 4BR: "This was particularly disappointing as we had two world class soloists, Christopher Deacon and Anthony Harris. However, with so many people commuting from afar and the accompanist travelling down from Birmingham, we felt it best to cancel and reschedule."
