Chetham’s School of Music will be holding an Open Morning on Saturday 18 February from 10.00am until 1.00pm.

Look around

The school will open up its doors for any interested young musicians and parents to have a look round and get a feel for the musical and academic activity that goes on in the UK’s largest specialist music school.

There will be the chance to hear the school orchestras and bands, as well as meet Head of Brass, David Chatterton and euphonium tutor David Thornton, who will be on hand to answer any questions and enquiries.

Success

The school has had notable success within the brass and percussion department for many years.

Familiar names such as euphoniumists David Thornton, Matthew White, Lewis Musson and Emily Braverman) are all prize winning alumni, whilst there is a host of former students who have gone on to make a name for themselves in the orchestral world too.
