Cornet star David Daws is making excellent progress on the long road to full recovery following an operation on his top lip in America.
Top lip
David told 4BR: "Over the past year I have been struggling with internal scar tissue in the top lip which has made playing rather difficult. I have seen various specialists without success and continued to play with Hendon SA Band."
Resting
He added: "However, I came to a decision to have further surgery following conversations with Dr Craig Vander Kolk who is a Surgeon based in Baltimore, New York. He was pleased with the surgery and now I am resting and waiting for the swelling to reduce."
