Scratch band help banish January Blues

The bunch of London based players recently helped commuters banish their January Blues — with a little unusual help from Tom Jones too...

According to experts, the combination of post-Christmas blues, credit card bills, dark, cold weather and the return to work after the seasonal holiday make for true ‘January Blues’ – with the 16th of January the most depressing day of the New Year!

Unusual help

However, following a study by Best Western Hotels, the chain helped bring some cheer to commuters throughout London by getting members of various London based bands to give impromptu performances of the Tom Jones hit, ‘It’s not Unusual’ across the capital from Paddington Station, Marble Arch to Westminster Bridge.
