Mossley Band, the new double winning Butlins champion, has thanked Glyn Williams Musical Instruments for the loaning of a cornet to the band's Principal Cornet, Nicky Longdon at the recent Skegness contest.

Band Chairman David Johnson told 4BR: "We would like to thank Glyn & Helen Williams for their generosity on Saturday in allowing Nicky to borrow a cornet at very short notice for our performance on stage. Unforeseen circumstances meant we had to borrow a top quality instrument, and Glyn came up trumps!"

With the new cornet ready to play and Nicky leading from the principal cornet chair, Mossley went on to retain their Second Section title.
