Pritchard heads for Otterbourne

Otterbourne Brass has engaged the services of Gareth Pritchard for the Area contest in Torquay.

Otterbourne Brass has announced that Gareth Pritchard will be direct their challenge at the West of England Regional Championships in Torquay this March.

Experienced

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Having recently parted company with Chris Davis after nine successful years, the band was keen to appoint an experienced conductor to guide us on Goff Richard’s ‘Cross Patonce’ — and we believe we have found the right person in Gareth."

New players

The band has also welcomed a number of new players.

Angela White, Jack Williams and Ted Winfield come in on cornet, Steve White on horn, Rachel Knight on bass trombone and Ian Yardley and Ian Austin on Eb and Bb basses. Hugh Cameron has also returned to play principal cornet after a short break.
